
In November 1989, at 21 — six months before I turned 22 — Dad had the idea to start a tile importing business, and we went into it together.
Dad was 57. The tile industry around Osborne Park was already packed with competitors, and I wasn’t convinced joining my parents was the smartest move. But I went in anyway.
Over the years I learned that working harder doesn’t always fix what’s wrong. Sometimes the business needs clarity, structure, better systems and clearer priorities.
I’ve now spent more than 35 years working across business and sales, including our family tile business, real estate and freelance copywriting. That’s why I created Epic Business Hub: to help business owners get out of the weeds, see what’s really happening and move forward.
